It was the year 2000 and at that time our Ochranov congregation of the Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren (since 1 January 2000), the original congregation of the Unity of Brethren in Turnov, bought the dilapidated historical house Na Sboře from the town. We were motivated by the need to develop our congregational activities - since autumn 1998 we have been meeting in the borrowed clubhouse of the Turnov Fokus - but also by respect for the tradition of our ancestors.
The House Na Sboře was the place of activity of the Turnov "Czech Brothers" until 1620. Slowly, funds were raised for the reconstruction of the house and many brothers and sisters from our congregation, from friendly congregations and from abroad lent a hand. Then the Stavko construction company from Košt'álov came in and carried out a complete reconstruction of the house. As we look back on this time, we do so with gratitude to the Lord God, but also to the wider church that has been our help. It was a miracle. In 2021 - on October 18, 2001, the house was opened to the public and services were held there again after 400 years - we want to remember these events with gratitude.
